A metal corset construction, with pneumatic breasts that could have your eye out, looked as if its liquid form had been poured over the body of Jane Mansfield, such was the sculpting eroticism of the voluptuous female form, which in itself was technical wizardry and pure craftsmanship. It was a look, recreated in red-wine leather, that was heavily indebted to Thierry Mugler, with nods to early Jean Paul Gaultier, Versace and Alaia - echoes of which are reverberating on catwalks around the globe. A look beyond the theatrics - the acid raspberry pussy-bows, the Dominatrix clear plastic heels and dresses so short they could pass for tops showed some beautiful, sharp tailoring for the power woman who leaves the Perspex for the bedroom.(29 September 2006, AM)
