Thanks for continuing this discussion. I like to know how other people think.
Of course, a person far away from the Muslims will see it funny. No problem.
I should note that lying is an unforgivable sin in Islam that it is greatly punishable:
"The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘You must be truthful, for truthfulness leads to righteousness and righteousness leads to Paradise. A man will keep speaking the truth and striving to speak the truth until he will be recorded with Allaah as a siddeeq (speaker of the truth). Beware of telling lies, for lying leads to immorality and immorality leads to Hellfire. A man will keep telling lies and striving to tell lies until he is recorded with Allaah as a liar." (Reported by Muslim, 4721)
You see, it is true that it is easy to lie. But, it is not easy to prevent the punishment. It cannot be erased from the Book.
Taqqia, I think you mean Taqwa which is piety and it means in Islam being as great in behavior as possible that will not make the God angry and piety includes truthfulness. Piety is being positive. You mentioned choices. A choice can be positive and negative and I am sure you know this. And you mentioned freedom is making choices. And you said freedom is a gift from the God. Then, doing a bad deed is a gift from the God since you are given the choice to do it. But the God expects you to be good in every second and in every step. A gift is something good. It does not make sense here. Is not there a good gift from the Lord? It is your conscious mind that can see what choice is better and what choice is bad. The Lord will praise you in the Heavens when you make the good choice, and He will feel sorry for you that you made the bad choice. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said:
When Allah loves a servant, He calls Gabriel and says: Verily, I love so and so; you should also love him, and then Gabriel would love him. Then he makes an announcement in the Heaven saying: Allah loves so and so and you also should love him, and then the inhabitants of the Heaven (the Angels) also would love him and then honor is conferred upon him on the earth; and when Allah is angry with any servant He calls Gabriel and says: I am angry with such and such and you also become angry with him, and then Gabriel also becomes angry and then makes an announcement among the inhabitants of Heaven: Verily Allah is angry with so and so, so you also become angry with him, and thus they also become angry with him. Then he becomes the object of wrath on the earth also.
And the Lord is the King of Justice:
"Allah has written down the good deeds and the bad ones." Then he explained it [by saying that] : "He who has intended a good deed and has not done it, Allah writes it down with Himself as a full good deed, but if he has intended it and has done it, Allah writes it down with Himself as from ten good deeds to seven hundred times, or many times over. But if he has intended a bad deed and has not done it, Allah writes it down with Himself as a full good deed, but if he has intended it and has done it, Allah writes it down as one bad deed." The absolute freedom you are supporting is not 100% good. 50% of this freedom is to do a good thing and these constitute positive choices whereas the other 50% constitutes negative choices. This is a general law in the universe. Nothing is absolutely complete in this world except the God. I asked you, maybe I do not remember, or others to explain this freedom but I did not get any answer.
