We create wireframes in some form every time we work on a design project. Sometimes they are
sketches (see Chapter 16) that never get produced digitally. Sometimes they might be better
described as prototypes (see Chapter 18), as they are in some way interactive. Techniques such as
creating wireframes directly into HTML may be blurring the lines between sketching, wireframes,
prototypes, and live websites, but there will always be a need to test content and interaction ideas
cheaply and early, and wireframes are well suited to that task.
