has a higher water content (up to 70% ) than OPC (27-50%) and contains a higher level of phytotoxic phenols. Among the processes that are available for upgrading OMW those based on edible fungal growth are very promising (tsioulpas et al., 2002)especially when edible fruit-bodies can be obtained OWM additions affected the yield enzyme secretion colour and texture of pleurotus spp. obtained (npolonia 2004) but so far nothing
