As the pH of soil from BSES was > 7.0 ,diethylenetriaminepentaaacetic acid (DTPA) was used toextract Cd from soil samples,with as oil to solution of 1 to 2 and areaction time of 2 h. The extracting solution consisted of 0.005 M DTPA, 0.01 M CaCl2, and 0.01 M triethanolamine (TEA) adjusted to pH 7.3. This was performed by a
