This study on "Chinese Tourists ' Behavior in Chiang Mai, Thailand," aimed to
study the following: I) personal and socio-economic characteristics of Chinese tourists ; 2)
decision behavior of the Chinese tourists before visiting Chiang Mai; 3) behavior of the Chinese
tourists during their visit in Chiang Mai; and 4) analysis of factors associated with travel behavior
during their visit. This study employed a surveyed analysis. Respondents in this study consisted
of 400 Chinese tourists visiting Chiang Mai obtained by accidental sampling. A set of
questionnaires was used for data collection from December 2009 to January 20 10 and analyzed
by using descriptive statistics.
