To which classes of matter - element, compound, and/or mixture - do the following laws apply:
Part A. law of mass conservation [ ] element [ ] compound [ ] mixture
Part B. law of definite composition [ ] element [ ] compound [ ] mixture
Part C. law of multiple proportions [ ] element [ ] compound [ ] mixture
I'm a tad stumped on the question because the book/powerpoint doesn't explicitly list out what the laws apply to. At the moment, I believe the law of mass conservation relates to elements and compounds because you'll get the same mass before and after the product. I think the law of definite composition only applies to compounds. Lastly, I believe law of multiple proportions applies to compounds and elements.
Help is appreciated!
UPDATE:
The answer was
Part A. law of mass conservation [X] element [X] compound [X] mixture
Part B. law of definite composition [ ] element [X] compound [ ] mixture
Part C. law of multiple proportions [ ] element [X] compound [ ] mixture
