Patients' reflections support the Buddhist group
therapy. It assists patients to be self-aware of their
ruminative thought patterns and to focus on the
present rather than the past or future. These
findings are consistent with those of participants
who commented on the benefits of MBCT, that it
helped them increase awareness and acceptance
of things (Griffiths, Camic, & Hutton, 2009;
Smith, Graham, & Senthinathan, 2007). Mindfulness
practice helps patients to cut off their
ruminative cycle by being aware of their ruminative
thinking and changing their thoughts into
movement meditation
