In conclusion, English language have the most crucial roles for foreign language learning of Thailand in comparison with other foreign languages as the English language are not only a tool to communicate with native speakers of English, but also as an international language for use with non-native speakers. To succeed in intercultural communication, Thai English users may be required to posses several skills and knowledge. Thus, English teachers who are responsible for developing the knowledge and skills in their students may have to adjust their teaching roles and their teaching foci to provide the students with appropriate skills and knowledge for effective intercultural communication in the lingua franca context with foreigners, who may be native or non-native speakers of English. Finally, this present study will the researcher will investigate the teachers’ perceptions of intercultural competence teaching and whether they are aware of their role to favor the development of intercultural competence of students in the classroom.
