in an effort to address the new national terrorist threats after September 11, 2011, many first responders found themselves overwhelmed with training for chemical biological, radio logical, nuclear and explosive response capabilities. hundreds of millions of dollars have been spent acquiring exercises to address these specific threats. while all first responders are expected to become familiar with these procedures and technologies, sometimes we overlook the more obvious threats facing first responders today.
