Finally, unadjusted odds ratios (OR) were calculated to estimate the associations between specific participant characteristics and the most frequently reported barriers
overall. The four demographic characteristics included age,education, perceived income adequacy, and health insurance status. The two health-related characteristics included screening history and perceived health status. Statistical significance was set at the 0.05 probability level. All analyses were conducted with Stata/IC 10.1 for Windows.
