Four treatments of feeding rations were given to steers and heart girth at the beginning and at the end of trial were reported. The least squares (LS) means of the heart girth and the body weight are reported in table 2 for the first feeding trial. The LS means obtained for ration no.2 or the ration with 3% molasses averaged the highest girth of 155.5 cm and the highest body weight of 357.6 kg. The silage mixed with 3% urea and 3% molasses yielded the non-significant response among rations. The lower level of urea (1.5%) also yielded a high response in heart girth and body weight which gave the same result as the ration mixed with 3% rice bran.
