ednesday, February 11, 2015, 6:43 AM - Another parade of storms is set to move into Atlantic Canada later this week. Here are five things you need to know.
1. OVERVIEW
A series of Alberta clippers are making their way across Canada and the storms will eventually transform into powerful systems that will target the east coast. "The outcome for Newfoundland looks different for the east and west coasts," says Weather Network meteorologist Dayna Vettese.
"St. John's, NL had 2 cm of snow on the ground as of Monday morning whereas Deer Lake, NL had 130 cm of snow on the ground. The next few storm systems could change the accumulation in St. John's by quite a bit."
The first low is beginning to make it's exit as snow tapers off into flurries this morning for eastern parts of Newfoundland.
Cold windchills are the story of the day with some parts of Atlantic Canada feeling like the -20s.
