It has been determined the current Coleman air conditioners, commonly used on logging units with sun shades installed, will experience an over-pressure sensor shut down condition, when the ambient temperature reaches or exceeds 90°F (32°C). One reason for this occurrence is due to the hot air discharged from the condenser fan circulating back into the condenser coil of the same or neighboring air conditioner. This document is intended to provide the necessary information required to modify the Coleman model 48203-9666 air conditioner (AH-248470006). This modification will extend the upper limit of the operating temperature to approx. 120°F (49°C). This modification is recommended for “Loggers” with sun shades operating above 90°F.
