Novel chitosan/ZnO nanoparticle composite membranes were
successfully prepared via a new method of sol-cast transformation.
The product exhibited good mechanical properties and high antibacterial
activities. And CS/nano-ZnO composite membranes with
6–10 wt % ZnO showed high antibacterial activities. At the same
time, the ZnO content had an effect on the mechanical properties
of the composite membranes. When doped with 6 wt % ZnO, CS/
nano-ZnO composite membranes showed good antibacterial and
mechanical properties. It suggested that such CS/nano-ZnO composite
membranes have potential as medical materials
