Organisms were considered dead when they failed to respond
to mechanical stimuli or if they remained permanently retracted
into the shell. After 48 h of exposure to azinphos-methyl, very low
mortality was observed (4%). During the following days of recovery,
on the 14th day, mortality increased significantly to 30% with
respect to control (Fisher’s Exact Test; P > 0.05) (Fig. 4).
