A. Root system
1. A Root anchors it in the soil, absorbs and translat and mineral and water and store food.
2. The Fibrous root system of a monocot consist of a met generally thin roots spread out shallowly in the soil.
3. Dicot have one main vertical taproot with many secondary lateral root going outward.
4. Near the root tip in both dicots and monocot a vast number of tiny projection called root hair.
5. Root hair increase the root surface area for absorption of water and mineral .
