DAY 2 On our second day, we acquire pictures of animals. I find that if students are making an animal mask, it is helpful if they have a picture of that animal. They draw ears, muzzle, nose and whatever else they choose on cardboard and then cut it out. These pieces are first glued, then securely attached with masking tape to the mask.
The cardboard is covered with one or two layers of wet gauze. Care must be taken not to get the cardboard too wet or it will sag and/or fall off the mask.
