In literature, UV-based advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) in
degrading RB181 was not clearly studied. The recent study about
AOP-driven decolorization of RB181-containing aqueous solutions is
utilized by Basturk and Karatas [18]. Basturk and Karatas found that
the optimum conditions were as [Fe2+] = 30 mg/L, [H2O2] = 50 mg/L
and pH 3 for the Fenton process and [Fe2+] = 10 mg/L, [H2O2] = 40 mg/
L and pH 3 for the sono-Fenton process and also 88% and 93.5% by the
Fenton and sono-Fenton processes.
