This senior project aims to build and develop the remote healthcare system. Its contributions are threefold. First, the remote healthcare system is designed for a cognitive radio that can automatically detect and change from an unavailable to available channel. Second, an analog circuit for heartbeat signals is analyzed in order to find and design two cutoff frequencies in a bandpass filter circuit. Third, integration of a RFID system and a keypad in a measured instrument of heartbeat and temperature is designed in order for faster and more convenient identification to users.
The experiment results can be divided into cognitive radio, frequency cutoff and access time in identifying users. In case of cognitive radio, if changed channels have the certain pattern, a markov predictor can lead error in forcasting available channels. Its processing time for searching available channels is not more than 10 seconds
