4. Conclusions
The present work demonstrates the antimicrobial potential of Psidium guajava leaves extract by using various solvents. Theresults indicate that ethanol andmethanol are better than n-hexane and water for the extraction of the antibacterial properties of guava. The results also indicate that the plant extracts have no antibacterial effect on the Gram-negative bacteria, showing that they do not contain active ingredients against the organisms.
