A control scheme is proposed, aimed to avoid or delay the stalling behaviour, increasing the allowed slip of the induction generator coupled to the turbine. The control system for the flow coefficient is achieved by varying the rotor resistance of the induction generator.
It is stated that there exist an optimal value of rx for each specific range of pressure drop and it is verified that greater input pressure drop does not imply higher power output unless the stalling behaviour is avoided.
It has been demonstrated that the proposed control method used for this purpose clearly improves the performance of the system, maximizing the power generated by the generator
