ispen's third wing is so unnecessary :p It would've been okay had he has 4 wings, two on each side or something as long as it's a pair number but the three wings thing is kinda silly.
Having said that, this chapter is pretty cool and we got to learn that the king and Meridith are originally on good terms, I don't think that the tower sees Rood/king as anything more than a test subject so maybe Meridith was using the people of the tower all along to achieve his true purpose which is reviving (?) or meeting the king.
That Rood and Shich moment though lol I knew that he wouldn't listen to the order/request but still that was so refreshing x'D
Again, I'm having the same struggle of wanting Rood to get those powers from Lispen but I don't want him to die... don't know how that issue is gonna be solved.
I wonder what Shic's master wants in return for the safety of Rood's master but I think he'll get it and master'll be saved so that side of the battlefield is the most stable one especially compared to what's happening after Meridith lost his sh*t and attacked Shic.
Speaking of Meridith, do u think he means everyone by saying "intuders" ? he can't mean Rood or else whatever character development he has had in the beginning o this chapter is lost, so he means everyone aside from Rood ? why though ? if his purpose is getting the king back why does he want to get rid of everyone ? they've helped Rood and he shouldn't care anymore about hsi role as the king of the first tower if his purpose has already been achieved.
Now about Lispen, I'm hesitating whether Rood will bloody murder him or try to kill him without making much of a mess....decisions... decisions...
I honestly like him as a character but he went to far with his last monologue and Rood isn't known for being the most patient.
