When a vehicle receives an alert message (see Figure 2(b)),
it verifies its original route to check if it goes through the
accident point. Therefore, a new route is calculated to avoid the
accident point. However, when vehicles 3, 4 and 6 receive the
message, they verify that their original route will pass through
the accident point, but there is no alternative route to avoid
the accident point. Therefore, they will get stuck in the traffic
jam. In this specific scenario, vehicle 4 computed the shortest
waiting time and continues the process of dissemination.
