After a world record transfer of £85.3 million to Real Madrid in 2013, Gareth Bale is on his way out of the Spanish giant after only 2 years at the club.
The 25-year-old Wales forward missed several opportunities as Juve set up a final against Barcelona.
“There have been some ups and downs but I think I’ve played well,” he said.
“What doesn’t kill me makes me stronger and I’ll learn from this season and take it on.”
But he has been jeered by some supporters this season, faced heavy criticism from sections of the Spanish press and was whistled by some fans during Real’s 1-1 second leg draw with Italian champions Juventus, which saw Juve progress 3-2 on aggregate.
Manchester United have long been interested in the Wales winger and it is estimated that the deal might be worth around £80 million.
United are the favourites to land the Welshman should he decide to quit La Liga and Sunday Express journalist Richardson told MUTV: “I think it’s almost a done deal to be honest.
“I know somebody very close to Gareth Bale and the public are not hearing the real thing.
“He’s very unhappy there and he’s unhappy with his treatment.”
Having had the experience of playing in the Premier League with Tottenham, this deal could be one of the best signings of the Red Devils till date.
