particularly on the part of middle-sized operators, which are increasingly
vulnerable to competition from the top tier of providers in the market.
Typical segments are automatic parts, food services and home deliveries, to
add to the more traditional ones of fuel oils and chemicals. The top-tier operators
tend to have interests in most segments: primary and secondary distribution,
temperature-controlled as well as ambient.
