We use past tense to tell what you have done in the past.
1. The simple past tense is used for the following:
1) To show an action that took place or happened at a certain time in the past
Example: I bought a computer yesterday.
2) To show a past habit with words such as ‘always’, ‘never’, ‘seldom’
and ‘sometimes’
