Plant essential oils (EOs) are one of the important products of agriculture based industry such as the treatment alternative for aromatherapy and medicinal. Traditionally, essential oil is extracted using steam distillation. However there is a limitation using this method owing to the possible thermal decomposition of compounds. In this research, Pinus Kesiya Royle ex. Gordon, has planted in Kamphaeng Phet, was extracted by cold-solvent extraction with organic solvent. UV-visible spectrophotometry was used to determination of resulted EOs. In this experiment, the 50 g of plant per 100 ml of each solvent was used in each time of extraction for 24-hour. The result showed that, Pinus Kesiya Royle ex. Gordon sell was extracted with hexane shown a max at 294 nm. This wavelength is as same as a standard solution, citronellol as the Eos-commercial available. It was shown a max at 294 nm. Experimentally, it was shown that particular essential oil can be economically and conveniently extracted using cold extraction method.
