If you want to see a funny play, then go to the Wilton Theatre to see The Boyfriend By B.S. Stanley. It is a comedy where a girl has a lot of problem when three boyfriends came to see her at the same time.
The girl, Maureen, is at home with her father, Mr Evans. He is a boring man who is only interested in politics. The first boyfriend, Jim, who is a young accountant, arrives at the house, and he want to take Maureen to the cinema. Then a few minutes later, the second boyfriend, Bill, arrives. He is a singer in a pop group, and he want to take the girl to a pop concert. Then the third boyfriend arrives. He is called Bruce and he is Australian. He is a businessman and he want to take maureen to the best restaurant in the town.
The conversation between the characters is very funny. The singer and the Australian are both very lively, but the young accountant is shy.
The father likes the first boyfriend but he does not like the other two very much. The accountant and the singer do not like the Australian.
In the picture, Mr Evans is sitting in the armchair with a newspaper after an argument with his daughter. The first boyfriend is holding an umbrella, and he is kneeling in front of the girl. The other two are standing at the back. The second boyfriend is playing the guitar, and the Australian is smiling.
