INT. TUK TUK - DAY 35 *
LOLA, CHELSEA, DAVID, BRYCE, THUG 1, TUK TUK DRIVER
From the back of the tuk tuk LOLA keeps and eye on the black *
SUV. *
LOLA *
(to Chelsea) *
Do you have our passports? *
CHELSEA taps her backpack. *
CHELSEA *
And the money. *
LOLA doesn’t doubt that. Up ahead the black SUV pulls up. *
LOLA
Stop! Pull over here!
The TUK TUK DRIVER pulls up fast about 60 metres from the
black SUV.
CHELSEA pulls out some notes and hands it to the TUK TUK
DRIVER as the two women get out.
CHELSEA
Thank you.
They watch as BRYCE gets out of the car and approaches a
seedy looking building with a THUG 1 out front. He waits and
then another black SUV pulls up.
BRYCE opens the back of the second SUV and pulls out: DAVID.
BRYCE walks DAVID into the building and they’re gone.
LOLA is off in a flash, moving toward the building when
CHELSEA grabs her.
CHELSEA (CONT’D)
Lola!
LOLA struggles with her.
LOLA
Let me go!
CHELSEA speaks urgently and low.
CHELSEA
What are you going to do? Go over
there and break down the door?
Huh? Don’t be stupid!
LOLA stops. CHELSEA is right.
CHELSEA (CONT’D)
We know where he is.

36 INT. BUILDING / CELLAR - DAY 36
MORRISON, DAVID, THUG 1
DAVID is dragged back into his cell and dumped on the floor
by THUG 1. DAVID tries to get up and go for the door but
THUG 1 knocks him down and stands over him ready to do it
again.
MORRISON O/S
Stop that!
THUG 1 spins to see MORRISON standing in the doorway.
MORRISON
(to THUG 1)
Get out.
THUG 1 leaves, having to squeeze around the unmoving MORRISON
in the doorway. Once he passes MORRISON adds:
MORRISON (CONT’D)
If you touch this boy again you’ll
be sorry.
MORRISON enters the cellar and takes out a handkerchief and
offers it to DAVID. DAVID tentatively takes it and wipes
away the blood under his nose.
MORRISON rights an overturned chair and sits on it across
from DAVID. He is warm and fatherly.
MORRISON (CONT’D)
You okay?
DAVID
I want to get out of here.
MORRISON
You were meant to go home today,
but things didn’t turn out that
way.
DAVID watches him warily.
MORRISON (CONT’D)
It seems your mother isn’t as keen
on your freedom as we are. She was
meant to give us something - in
exchange for you - but she refused.
