Regarding to the concentration of soluble solids, the highest
average of ethanol production was obtained using 200 g L-1
of soluble solids (29.72 g L-1). The confidence intervals (at
p ¼ 0.05), as shown in Table 7, reveal that the average of
ethanol production is higher than those obtained with 100 g.L-1
(20.59 g.L-1) and 300 g.L-1 (18.65 g.L-1). Still, the test indicates it
is not possible to reject the hypothesis that the two last averages
are equal.
