For more capable students who understand very clearly the modeling phase and want to further practice their writing skills, teachers can ignore their role as scribes. Instead, he or she should revise and correct their texts which approximate to the structure of the sample text. However, for those students who have not yet mastered the structure of the sample reading text, the role of the teacher as a scribe in the jointnegotiation phase is still considered necessary
