I was born on 1992 , 90’s was my childhood .Everyone have their own childhood story tell some had a wonderful childhood memories but some had bad childhood memories and fortunately I was born in a such a caring family and my childhood pretty much full with joy and adventures .
One of the funniest moments in my childhood that I can remember I had a best friend named Bryan back when I was eight years old. We lost two of our front teeth in the exact same day and same event. It happened when we were cycling using just one bicycle around the neighbourhood pretending that we were riding a super bike until we run through a bump on a road and he did managed to pull the break but it was too late we fell from the bicycle badly with our face hit the road and the next thing we know both of us lost our front teeth.
Our parents we mad about it but they still laughed it out looking at both of us that full with minor cuts and no front teeth. Friends and teachers at school teased us but we didn’t feel any embarrassment and just kept smiling even though without our front teeth and that is what best friend do to each other. I will never forget that moment and I hope I will meet him again someday.
So many days, I recall running around my neighbourhood in pursuit of the next greatest adventure. There wasn't anything that could stop me from feeling that sense of freedom and being imaginative. It's crazy to think that today's world emphasizes being free as a whole other meaning. When I was younger, being in the woods and making forts out of tree branches and plywood we stole or managed to find at another abandoned fort can bring a such a joy it’s like a king that have found its kingdom.
I recall playing tree wars, man hunt and even capture the fortress or capture the flag even but the time had changed so are the people .Nowadays, instead of making physical forts, children are making forts that are virtual and computer enhanced. Instead of running around the neighbourhood playing tag or hide and go seek, kids are playing who can find some alien or computer generated person to kill on the internet. I mean, G.I. JOE and thundercats and voltron were very popular and those action figures were our entertainment. Sure, we might have had Nintendo,Atari or even Sega and gameboy growing up but those things never consumed our time because we were so busy being imaginative in reality that those other things didn't take as much importance.
There may still be kids playing out in the neighbourhood in this generation but it's definitely not what it used to be. There's so much I miss from my childhood. I miss being naive and ignorant of the world. Not knowing about how cruel the world can be. I miss when hanging out with friends, no one saw races or wealth. I miss the days of being innocent and innocence was all I knew but I have accepted that the world isn't what I had expected when I was child but I won’t let it change who I am in this world.
