Then, 5 mL of H2SO4 (0.5 M) was injected into the as-prepared NaHTe solution and the timely generated H2Te gas was input into the above solution of CdCl2 and MPA until the solution color changed from colorless to orange.
After refluxing for 48 h, red CdTe QDs with an emission at 630 nm were obtained. Finally, the QDs were purified by precipitation with acetone and dispersed in 100 mL ultrapure water.
