“Help them to help themselves”
The Royal Agricultural Station Angkhang is a royal private agricultural project that began after Their Majesties the King and the Queen thought that Phak Phai Village was in an area suitable for growing temperate fruit trees. Their Majesties therefore initiated the royal private project to set up a research and experimental station for growing a variety of temperate species that included fruits, vegetables and commercial flowers. The experiments became demonstration models for hill tribe farmers who could grow them to generate income and improve their livelihood. The station was later named “Royal Agricultural Station Angkhang” by His Majesty.
