The systematics arrangement of elements in the Periodic Table allows us to study both physical and chemical properties of the elements in a more simple way. We no longer need to remember all the properties of elements because by just remembering the general properties of a group and looking at the trend of changes, we could predict the properties of any elements in the table. For instance, when we know that the reactivity of Group 1 elements increases down the group, we can deduce that potassium would react much faster with water than lithium.
