Classes began to let out for lunch and Teams RWBY and JNPR went off together to find Herald before lunch. After minutes of searching they went back to the lunch room and found him eating right at the table where everyone sat. With most of both teams sighing in defeat and joining him at the table to eat, both teams took their seats and introduced themselves formally.

"So You’re the new kid that Ruby told us about?" Yang asked while eating a sandwich.

"Yep. You gotta thank her keen eye for finding my pendant though." Herald took a sip out of the his milk and snagged a cookie from Ruby's plate earning a childish groan from the red girl and a slight laugh from Jaune. “Well. Keen enough to find shiny objects.”

"I don’t actually think I’ve ever met a Hyena Faunus." Blake said staring at Herald's ears. “Where’d you come from?”

"Atlas." Herald replied setting down his plate. While chatting among the group Nora had disappeared with Ren being the only one to really notice and when he brought attention to it Nora reappeared behind Herald reaching out for one of his ears. She began scratching at the ear as if he were a dog and Herald's face went from surprised to content quickly before getting red and Shaking Nora off of him. "No stop! Don't touch the ears!"

"Aw I'm sorry Herald. I couldn't resist." Nora replied while being dragged away from the table by Ren. Yang looked at the encounter before mental gears began to turn and she gazed towards Blake.

"Anyways, I'd love to see a demonstration of your Aura abilities." Pyrrha cheered with excitement. Ren returned with Nora after their exchange. Both of them had a slightly noticeable pink tint to their cheeks but everyone decided to ignore it.

"Sure, when I get the chance you can all watch a true fight." Herald said smirking at his own cockiness. He turned towards Weiss and noticed she was giving him a glare. "And what's with you, miss high and tight?"

"What did you call me?" Weiss yelled. Herald put up his arms in mock defense.

"You need to lighten up, Ruby told me about you. Weiss Schnee, Heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, distrustful of the Faunus from the bloodshed and war between the SDC and the White Fang. Real Miss 'Cold as Ice and Hard as Stone'." Herald popped an apple into his mouth snapping it in two. Weiss began to fume and was just about explode at Herald before he continued "Don't mistake my comments for hate though, I've no problem with you. In fact I’d have to say you’re cuter than one would think from the word of rumor that goes around." Weiss choked on her words for a second before simply getting up and leaving.

"Wow, never saw that before." Ruby said confused. The bell tolled for students to return to class and everyone picked up their trays and equipment they took with them. Blake turned around to see if Herald was behind her to see him leaping from a window in the cafeteria.

"Hmm...." Blake turned back around and walked through the doorways back to class.

Herald was enjoying time outside walking through the grass and watching the scenery of Vale change from the high top of Beacon's cliff. Hearing footsteps behind him Herald spun in time to meet Ozpin's stare.

"Well Mr. Wornall, It seems you've warmed up to both Team RWBY and JNPR." Ozpin took a sip of his mug and looked out to the city with Herald.

"I wouldn't say I've warmed up with everyone..." Herald looked down towards the edge of the cliff. He kick a rock off and heard it knock against the rock until it was out of earshot.

"Ah yes. Miss Schnee isn't the most accepting of individuals and especially is hostile towards Faunus. To be expected however given her heritage." Ozpin stated matter o' factly.

"Yeah, but I've no more quarrels with SDC so I was hoping to make nice with the heiress." Herald turned away from the cliff and headed back towards the school. "Professor Ozpin?"

"Hmm?" Ozpin didn't turn around but replied nonetheless.

"Don’t expect me to be all happy go lucky with my time in your school. You know why I'm here." Herald coldly spoke and continued to walk onwards. Ozpin steadied his glare at Vale and took another sip from his mug.

Weiss laid in her bed unable to sleep. Ruby softly slept above her, Blake barely made a noise, and Yang snored loudly. The image of the new Faunus boy ran through her head and she fluctuated between her promise to Ruby to try to be friends and the comments he made during their lunch about her family and their company. Settling into the farthest crook of her bed she forced her eyes shut in an attempt to sleep while a silhouette quietly watched through their window before quickly disappearing.
