A systematic and comprehensive review of previous research is beneficial to guide future research and practice. There is
no doubt that the muscles of individuals with CP are weak, and there is scope for strengthening those (Verschuren et al.,
2011). To understand the comprehensive effect of strength training on individuals with CP, it is necessary to determine
appropriate methods for their program and to identify exercise prescriptions, such as the length and frequency of exercise
programs. There is a lack of data on the moderators of the effects of exercise for individuals with CP. The advantage of metaanalysis
is that it is possible to compare studies that differ in experimental rigor and other methodological factors (Lipsey,
2008).
