1. What exactly is the coverage size of the latest TMC table (in the number of provinces / roads / lines and points)?
With the current version (1.0) TomTom has had, it covers 22 provinces, 140 roads / 645 lines and 2,529 points. When our Engineering team tested it, we found that lots of incident data could not get location referenced properly. We believe it is the effect of having smaller TMC table with partial coverage.
Knowing exactly how many provinces, roads, lines and points the latest TMC table covers would help us determine the percentage and confidence level of the test results based on the old version of TMC table.
2. Can you please confirm that this MOA allows the subscriber to redistribute the TISA certified traffic location tables (aka the TMC table)? The relevant clause in the MOA states only the license is perpetual. It just does not state the precise extent of what rights the license grants to the subscriber.
I would assume that it grants “all rights” to the licensee. I’d just like to make sure that my understanding is correct (this is something we would finally explain to the Legal Department if the agreement goes to sign-off phase).
