Eastern Sarus Crane has been status to extinct from the wild and is a wildlife reserved species in the Wildlife Preservation and Protection Act, 1992 of Thailand. Therefore, this study aimed to assess the potential and possibility of Eastern Sarus Crane reintroduction back to Thailand’s natural wetland. It also including of reviews and compiles the ecology, biology and habitats of Eastern Sarus Crane. The rapid assessment method was used to selected the suitability areas and adaptations of released method from the model of Whooping Crane’s reintroduction project of International Crane Foundation (ICF). This experimental reintroduction is under the conditions of all released cranes must been reared by two methods of the parent rearing and the isolation rearing (costume rearing) and release by gentle method.
