Data from the field survey showed that most of respondents living in song-Nue community,approximately 96 percent, Were aware of the community waste recycling bank. The data, however, showed that about 63 percent were participating in the project (table 1). Most people stated that time availability was the main reason for non-participation in the program. The results showed that people were not selling material everyday. They typically collected recyclable materials at home and sold them to the bank twice a month. The participating households would get an amount of 100 to 200 bath per visit. Plastics, glasses, and papers were among the most recycled materials found in the community
