If you’ve got a fear of heights then this just might be one of your worst nightmares, but for two of the world’s most skilled high-liners, this is just a fun day out.
Julien Millot and Tancrede Melet walked a line on the Vanoise Express cable car between the snowy peaks of the French Alps. The line itself was 60 metres long but only 2.5 centimetres wide and it was strung between two cable cars 380 metres above the ground, which Millot and Melet crossed with nothing but a small rope attached to a harness to stop them falling to a certain death.
Oh, it makes our legs wobbly just looking at it, but the two Frenchmen say that even they are afraid of heights.
“We’re all scared of height. It can show differently on different people. What is common to both of us is that despite being afraid of heights, we love to play with heights on a daily basis. We like to confront ourselves to heights whether by being on the high-line or jumping and with our friends we use heights because we want to make the most out of nature.”
Ooh, can you make the most out of nature in a less stomach-churning way please? Thank you.
The entire stunt was organised to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the Paradiski ski resort and the cable car transport system, which is one of the largest in the world.
Just stop it!
