The trend in television programming is reality TV, a genre that finds its most valuable content in the editing of shameless displays of unknowns as they willingly part with their privacy, dignity, and composure that develops them into characters for entertainment purposes for an audience. Similarly, sitcoms have writers developing unknown characters and putting them into comedic situations that could relate to any reality experience based upon their editing to entertain people. Reality television consists of the same elements as a sitcom with the same intentions on creating the necessary drama to attract the target audience.
