My Life: The Turn Around Life
My life has been full of struggles. There have been a lot of good times in my life. I have made decisions I have regret and choices I have not regretted. In life we need to set goals, have good friends, and love your family.
My name is Benjamin. I am 15 years old. I was born April, 5, 1997 in Springfield Vermont. I am adopted so I don’t know where my birth family comes from. I don’t know my family origins either. I would like to know. But I do know some about my history of my adopted family.
First I will talk about my siblings and parents. I have three sisters Linda, Kerri, and Katie. Linda is my adopted sister. She is 35 and has two boys Brandon and Cameron. Kerri is my birth sister; she has two very cute girls Trinity and Alexis. Katie is my other birth sister. She is younger than me. I have two adopted brothers Michael and Justin. Michael is my dad’s step son but I consider him a brother. He is 30. Justin is 15. He can be very annoying.
My parent’s names are Joe and Linda. They are good parents even know we get in fights. I know they love me very much and I am very glad they adopted me. My mom comes from a very large family.
My mom has 8 siblings. Two of them have died. Raymond at a day old and Valerie at 14. My mom’s parent’s names are Charles Hess Sr. and Rebecca Hess. My grandfather died eight years ago from cancer. Donna my mom’s cousin also died of cancer. My mom has a lot of cousins from both sides of her parent’s side. 18 from her mom’s side and seven that I know of from my grandfather’s side. I have 24 cousins and 27 second cousins from this side of the family from my aunts and uncles.
My dad has one sister. Her name is Joanne. She has two kids Tommy and Brandi. They have a total of four kids. My gram that did Tuesday has four siblings. My Dad isn’t sure how many kids they had.
I am glad I have such a large family. I know what ever happens someone will be there for me. Even know we do stuff to make each other we all love each other. We also have some key moments.
The biggest key moment in my life was when I got adopted. I was in foster care for 3 years and in my birth family for 5 years. I was abused in almost every place I went to. They thought I had ADHD. Coming here was my 5th school system. I three schools in second grade. That was a rough year in my life. When I got adopted I was very nervous. I was worried that it wasn’t going to work out that was I was used to things not working out. My last foster home and school helped me out in small ways including the last day with them.
My other key moment in my life was when my last school held a goodbye/birthday party for me. It was the day before my 9th birthday when I moved up here. It was a small school so everybody knew everybody. It was K-6 and only 1 class of about 10 in each grade level. I was really sad to move away from of my friends. My friend Noah helped my get my passion for sports, baseball manly which is what I talk about next.
As most teenagers my passions is sports. Baseball is my favorite sport. My favorite player Dustin Peoria. I could explain baseball fully unlike the other sports. I have been to two different Red Sox games. Each time a Red Sox player has hit a grand slam. I glad I found something I am into to help be happy.
I like the other two Boston teams the Celtics and the Bruins. Even know the Celtics are having a rough season I still think they have a chance at winning the finals. The Bruins are off to really good season. They I think they have the best chance of winning the Stanley Cup. I am also like the Patriots. I am mad they lost to the Ravens in the AFC championship. Having these hobbies has influenced what I want to do in my future.
I have a lot of goals that influences my future. If I accomplish them that better chance I will do the stuff that I want in my future. I have a goal of making the Honor role every quarter. I know if I just barley fall sort I will make it on the merit list like I did last semester. This will help for when I try to apply to a college. The better grades that I get, the better chance I get into getting into college.
A goal of mine is to graduate college. I want to major in sports management. I think this will increase my chances of managing a sports team. I like to study stats which will help my make better lineups or roster. I also hope to make it to the majors even know it is highly unlikely that I will.
A goal of mine is to keep up with my friends after school. Even know it is unlikely because of the different thing s that people do, keeping in touch with friends is important. Having good friends is important to me because it is nice having good friends that you can rely on in good times and in bad times.
A hobby of mine is to help my mom with her business. My mom sells movies, video games, books, and video game consoles online. I help check her prices, ship her packages, and help her mange her inventory. I like doing it even know I don’t get paid.
In conclusion, I look back and see how lucky I am. I know have a family that loves me which some people don’t have. I’m lucky to have a huge family and even know we make each other mad that we still love each other. Goals help us stop and think about where we are heading. It helps to have family and friends to help us with our goals.
