There are some advantages in using the reverse micelle solvent
extraction system, such as large-scale sample loading, simple operation
and continuous preparation. Thus, the reverse micelle solvent
system is very attractive, and it can be widely used in separation and
enrichment systems. The aim of the present work is the development
of a simple, rapid, sensitive, and inexpensive ultrasound-assisted
back extraction reverse micelles method with Triton X-100
and gas chromatography for direct determination of some of the
low-molecular weight saturated aliphatic aldehydes. These aldehydes
include propanal (propionaldehyde), butanal (butyraldehyde),
hexanal and heptanal emitted from extended heating of edible oil
