Located along the Bohai Sea shoreline in northern China, this 60 hectare beach front was not only aesthetically displeasing, but ecologically detrimental. The site was abiding decaying plantation, eroded dunes, and a depreciated beach until the design firm Turenscape accepted the task to replenish the neglected beach. Yet rather than revitalizing its beauty in only a visual perspective, the team did so in ecological terms as well.
