study conclude that a ten percent increase in tree canopy
cover within fifty meters of homes may reduce the risk of
small for gestational age (SGA) birth outcomes. A crosssectional
study of eighth, tenth, and twelfth graders from
a national study on physical activity, race, and socioeconomic
status observed that communities with a higher
poverty level and greater percentage of African Americans
were less likely to have local parks and green
spaces.
