The morphologies of MOF-808 nanoparticles prepared for different reaction were studied by TEM, and the results are shown in Fig. 2. These obtained nanocrystals have regularly octahedral microcrystals with sizes of the range of 150–200 nm, which are much smaller than those obtained under conventional hydrothermal conditions [11]. Furthermore, these MOF-808 nanoparticles showed highly monodispersed and uniformly distributed. However, the dimensions of obtained MOF-808 nanoparticles have no obviously change with increasing the irradiation time from 5 to 30 min. Meanwhile, small crystals of MOF-808 are effective in the fields of adsorption, catalysis and so on.
