VHSV (KJ2008) was kindly provided by Dr. K. H. Kim (Department
of Aquatic Medicine, Pukyong National University). The provided
VHSV strain was isolated from a moribund olive flounder
during a natural VHS outbreak in 2008. The virus was genetically
identified as IVa by sequencing the viral N and G genes [29]. For
ELISA, infectious hematopoietic necrosis virus (IHNV, RtWanju09)
was used as the viral antigen. The IHNV used in the ELISA was
isolated in 2009 from the eggs of IHNV-infected rainbow trout from
Wanju Prefecture, Korea, and classified into the JRt genogroup [
