Following the conceptual model applied to the current situation (Fig. 2), the corresponding conceptual model for the structure and functionalities of the robotic system is presented in Fig. 4. Similarly, the boundary of the system makes up the interface between the external stakeholders (universities, government agencies, retailers, etc.), that will provide or receive data to and from the system. Inside the system, acquisition, recording, processing and evaluation of data from the tractor-implement system and from the external sensors and instruments will be carried out. The agricultural robot and the farm manager reside within the system’s boundary acting as final evaluators of data and decision makers concerning the planning and control of the agricultural equipment.
